Before we get into this week's interview, Jeff reviews the audiobook of "How to Be Remy Cameron," as well as the new anthology "Black Boy Joy," edited by Kwame Mbalia.

We are super excited this week to welcome Silas Whitaker, a new audiobook narrator who already has a few titles out for young adult and gay romance fans. Author Julian Winters joins us as well to tell the story of how Silas came to narrate "How to be Remy Cameron." We get the scoop on how Silas recorded his first book, managed the large cast of characters, and what his favorite scene was. We also talk about the books Silas has recorded in the gay romance genre. In addition, Julian discusses his short story in the "Black Boy Joy" anthology.

Jeff & Will remind everyone that this month's Big Gay Fiction Book Club selection is "Running Lines" by Jeris Jean. The Book Club episode is coming up on Thursday, September 30. In addition, they also share that a previous Book Club selection, Clare London's "Romancing the Rough Diamond," is now available in audiobook narrated by Joel Leslie.

In a change from our usual interviews with fiction authors, we welcome American Ballet Theatre principal dancer James Whiteside to discuss "Center Center," his recently released memoir. James is a dancer, musician, drag performer and has now added author and audiobook narrator to his credits. He talks with us about choosing which of his life experiences to explore and how he used writing to creatively present them.

The show kicks off with news about the TransBook365 hashtag, and the Romance for Haiti auction.

Author C.B. Lee is here to talk about "A Clash of Steel," which is the first book in the "Remixed Classics" series where authors from diverse backgrounds take different literary classics from centuries past and reinterpret them. We hear from C.B. about how she approached remixing "Treasure Island," setting it in 1800s China with queer main characters. We also celebrate the fifth anniversary of her "Sidekick Squad" series, including a few hints about the new and final book coming for Spring 2022.
